Winter Pastel Workshop 🌨️

Have fun painting a winter snow scene in this one-day pastel workshop! We are going to create this soft, quiet, snowy day by using the textured side of pink pastel paper to really make it pop! Jody will guide you with instruction, tips, and techniques as you have fun watching your painting come to life on the colorful, textured pastel paper provided in the class. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced individuals, and everything you need is provided in the class. Come and join us this holiday season and have a wonderful time as we play and experiment with pastels!
All supplies will be provided by the instructor.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
“Drawing and painting have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. As a child, my parents enrolled me in art lessons with a prominent hometown artist after my mother declared that all I did was draw and color! I now live in Deltaville, VA, but passionately taught art to students of all ages for many years in a homeschool co-op environment and my studio when I lived in Ohio. My first love is the pastel medium, and my representational paintings usually tend towards a softened, sometimes impressionistic appearance. Nature is my inspiration, and I am possessed by the colors, forms, and textures that are possible in creating two-dimensional art. My paintings grace the walls of many homes across the country, and I currently show my paintings at Gloucester Arts on Main, the RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock, and the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews.”
