Punch Needle Workshop
Instructor: Caron Veynar
Saturday, May 16
12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Spring is here! Come and try miniature punch needle, also referred to as Russian punch needle. This centuries old needle art creates beautiful pieces with a richness of texture and color that can be created in a few hours. Resembling miniature versions of hooked rugs, these punched pieces have a wide appeal. Pins, appliqués, dollhouse rugs, and framed or mounted artwork are among the many finished pieces that can be created using only a punchneedle and some inexpensive supplies. In this workshop, we will be using The Ultra Punch brand of adjustable punch needle to create a beautiful daffodil design that you can frame or mount however you wish. All supplies including the above mentioned punch needle will be provided by the instructor for the students to keep. The only optional item you might wish to bring are lighted magnifying glasses.
