Fireworks will be the star of the show when we create this exciting patriotic-themed painting! This is a fun way to express yourself as we create a memento of this historic season in our country’s history. You will be guided step by step as we paint on an 11” x 14” canvas. All supplies are included in the class! The United States Semiquincentennial is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and this is a great way to participate and make a memory of your own.
For ages 10+
All supplies will be provided by the instructor.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
“Drawing and painting have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. As a child, my parents enrolled me in art lessons with a prominent hometown artist after my mother declared that all I did was draw and color! I now live in Deltaville, VA, but passionately taught art to students of all ages for many years in a homeschool co-op environment and my studio when I lived in Ohio. My first love is the pastel medium, and my representational paintings usually tend towards a softened, sometimes impressionistic appearance. Nature is my inspiration, and I am possessed by the colors, forms, and textures that are possible in creating two-dimensional art. My paintings grace the walls of many homes across the country, and I currently show my paintings at Gloucester Arts on Main, the RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock, and the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews.”
